Live music returns to Brel

Brel"s website is back! After a 6 week(!) absence, I"m going to return to updating the news section weekly. This coincides quite nicely with the return of live music to Brel, after our annual two month break for July and August. So what"s been happening in Brel and Serge over the last 6 weeks?
It"s rained. Quite a lot. In spite of this we"ve still been quite busy, and Serge in particular has enjoyed a steady upturn in business. For those who missed it, we received a very positive review in the Evening Times, and yours truely was featured in a revealing interview where for the second time in my brief media career I managed to have a picture of Hulk Hogan printed beside my name.
Brel also managed to put together a football team to take on the mighty Curlers. Sadly, we lost heavily but I"ve put together a team full of ringers for the rematch, where you favourite Belgian bar will surely triumph over the Sourz-and Aftershock-selling scum.
As for the live music, aside from the regular Saturday jazz gigs, our first featured music night of the autumn is on Thursday 4th September. Concrete Campfire present Rags and Feathers and Elliot from the West. Tickets are FREE and the show starts at 8pm.
We also have a couple of tastings coming up in September. On the 1st we have a Gin Dinner, followed by a Beer Dinner on the 8th. Tickets for both are £20, including a two course meal and tasting afterwards. To book phone 0141 342 4966.
