Serge is here!
Tuesday 03rd June 2008
After weeks of subliminal messages in my news updates, I can finally reveal what all the "Serge is coming" nonsense has been about. As some of you may be aware, Brel had some major renovation work in November and December of last year, tearing away the old kitchen and toilets and replacing them with new space for eating and drinking. Until now, this space has been used as overspill for the downstairs restaurant, although this was always just a short term plan. So this Thursday, we present to you Serge, the West End"s newest bar.
We"re looking to do something a little different at Serge. For starters, we"ll have up to 20 different wines available by the glass, including our regular wine list plus monthly specials. We also have a beer selection that can only be described as strange and unsettling, although anyone who"s been reading these news updates on a regular basis probably won"t be surprised to hear this. On the food side of things we"re still finalising the menu, though our Head Chef Stevie promises culinary riches beyond your wildest dreams. For what it"s worth, I"ve never known Stevie to break a promise, so stay tuned for more news on that one. We also have free Wi-Fi available to those who like a glass of wine while browsing endless video and blogging sites.
So when"s the big day? This Thursday, June 5th at 5pm, Serge will open its doors to the world. Join us!
Cheers,
Jamie
