Brel was this year voted Glasgows 3rd best live music venue by Guardian Travel. Noah and the Whale, Martha Wainwright and Glasvegas are just some of the artists weve promoted.

We have free Live Jazz on Saturday afternoons, the cream of Glasgows indie talent at our Thursday acoustic night "The Concrete Campfire", not to mention regular touring bands!

Glasgow Comedy Festival - Antics Roadshow

Comedy

Price: £6

Time: 8.30pm

There’s a fair chance you’ll have seen Brendan Dempsey in Father Ted, Waking Ned, Gangs of New York or the other thing he did with two girls and that cup. You’ll also have seen him walking around as he’s at least a foot and a half taller than you. He is the biggest man ever from Ireland.

There’s a slim chance you’ll have seen Silky on The World Stands Up for Paramount, or The Stand-Up Show on BBC1, or at one of the 16 Kill For A Seat comedy clubs he’s spent his adult life building up. He has the power to change weather with his massive, reflective head, and it’s his birthday this year.

They’ve put in the years getting to be very good at stand-up comedy, but have found that there’s too much in the way of people doing the same half hour of words in the same order every night, and as they both like music, and improv, and cocking about and making each other laugh, they thought they’d combine all those things with nearly enough practice to produce a show that’d be like the Muppets, but without anyone’s hands going up there thankyou very much. Come and see the Antics Roadshow. You’ll never see the like again.
